1. Who We Are

Global Rank Limited is a company registered in New Zealand. Our registered address is Suite 16053, Unit A, Level G, 26 Hobson Street, Auckland City 1010, New Zealand.

2. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use the Platform, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Email address, used for authentication, notifications, and communications.
• Collector Display Name, which is your chosen public identity on the Platform and is publicly visible.
• Payment information processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details and only receive payment confirmation and transaction references.
• Communications you send to us through email or support channels.
• Rank ownership records, transaction history, bid history, marketplace activity, log data, device information, and cookies or similar technologies.
• We do not collect government-issued identification numbers, sensitive personal information such as health or biometric data, or information about children under 18.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account.
• Process rank purchases, auction bids, and marketplace transactions.
• Maintain the Global Rank Registry as a permanent public record of rank ownership.
• Send transactional emails, service communications, and support responses.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.
• Comply with legal obligations and improve the Platform through anonymised analytics.
• We only send marketing communications if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Public Information

The following information is publicly visible on the Platform and may be indexed by search engines:

• Your Collector Display Name.
• The ranks you own and their ownership history.
• Your bid history in auctions.
• Your marketplace listing activity.
• Your certificates of ownership.
• Your email address is never displayed publicly. If you want privacy, choose a Collector Display Name that does not identify you personally. Your Collector Display Name is permanent and cannot be changed once set.

5. Sharing Your Information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We may share information with trusted service providers such as Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, and email service providers, only as necessary to provide services to us.
• We may disclose information where required by law or where necessary to protect rights, safety, or the Platform.
• If Global Rank Limited is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity and we will notify you of material changes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Ownership records in the Registry are permanent by design and cannot be deleted. Your Collector Display Name, once set, is also permanent.

If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or where the information forms part of the permanent Registry record.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform. This includes essential cookies for authentication sessions and analytics cookies using anonymised data to help us understand how the Platform is used.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use the Platform.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and access controls.

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations and the permanent nature of Registry records.
• Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.
• Make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe we have breached the Privacy Act.

10. International Users

The Platform is operated from New Zealand. If you access it from outside New Zealand, your information may be transferred to and processed in New Zealand or other countries where our service providers operate.

By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer and we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards apply.

11. Children

The Platform is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact privacy@globalrank.io and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated policy on the Platform with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
